7/12/10
This morning I woke up pretty late, or woke up around nine, and stalled for 2 to 3 hours. Nah, I think I stalled just an hour. Breakfast for me was eaten at lunch though; a cheese omelet and a hot dog. I also did some cooking today! I cut the hot dogs into a bunch of different pieces, and I sauteed it! Boy, that was yummy! So all I did was put the little pieces of the hot dog on the hot pan, and moved the pan around like heck. TA DA!
After breakfast my mom had made me play piano, while she would pick up my brother from his math (the really good kind, I think 9th grade stuff) and get groceries. Playing piano. Urg. I felt rebellious again. From what I learned yesterday, I tried to not be rebellious and more agreeable. I said fine, and I actually did play piano! Go me! I actually committed myself to something! I need to get in the in the habit of doing more stuff. I don't think I played super well, because that day was my piano class, and well, I just hate it. At least I played some piano though.
After playing (.."a long time") I went upstairs and checked my email. The cool thing is that my long lost friend, *****, that I left behind in Chinese school was on, but I didn't have her as a contact. So we chatted for 2-3 conventions, through EMAIL. Then I finally invited her to my chat, and there. The thing is, that I needed to go right after I sent the invite, so we couldn't chat. I kind of miss her.
My mom came home then. She had bought this really cool jelly thing that was just.. YUMMY! The flavors of the jelly are grape, peach, apple and orange. I came up with an ingenious idea. (not really I guess) I t was to FREEZE the jellies. I put 2 grapes and one peach. Later my mom ate the peach one. (the peach on wasn't frozen, just super duper cold)
After that, I played a tiny bit more of piano. I went behind the couch, which is basically my space. There is a little chunk of carpeted area (ABOUT 14 feet x 5 feet) that borders the backdoor into the backyard. (ROCKET SCIENCE! ... not) The back door is glass, so the suns' light gets into the room, which means super clean carpet (Uh, ultra violet rays?). I now go there if I need to think about something very hardly. hat time I had to think about trying to continue piano (I still had to, just wondering about me being so stubborn about it) and continuing singing. Singing is really just a tryout, and I think I am a total fail. I can't sing vocals at all. I made my mind to quit singing, go with the flow for piano.
While I was thinking, I got distracted. The backyard could be beautiful ish, and well, I was watching squirrels. And I was observing the plant stuff (trees, little bushes). I guess it put my mind more at rest, so I could think more straightly. I made up my mind at the very end, when I pulled myself all together.
After doing the thinking, I went to play computer. Fantage to be exact. My user is "glitter691". Nothing exciting about playing Fantage, just random stuff, getting stars, watching and doing PD tryouts. Ha ha, I am the weirdo who shouts out answers in every PD tryout. Been called weird twice. I was playing the model thing, and then, "Amber, we could go to Hancock Fabrics" now." YIPPEE! I was asking to go to Hancock Fabrics starting from yesterday. I had to get fabrics for my skirt class thing (I am going to make THREE!)
Choosing fabrics was WAY harder than I thought. I had found some really cool prints, except they were FLANNEL. As in not wearable things.I had to find all the cotton stuff. That was the first time I was ALONE at a fabric shop (My mom went to Target for other stuff, I said that I'd be fine)I was pretty confused, so I stayed to one particular area until I got to know the entire layout of the store. I found this really cool zebra yet not-so-zebra-looking fabric that was a bright red-violet, and I made a mental note to remember where it was, and how much I liked it. The class was going to make 3 different types of skirts. The first one, a regular pull-on skirt with an elastic band. The second one is a 3 DIFFERENT FABRIC tiered skirt with an elastic band. The last one is a WRAP skirt, with a ribbon to tie it together. I don't think I will wear any of them, because the fabric I chose matches, but doesn't look good, and isn't my style.
For the first skirt, I used the zebra looking fabric for the main one, and a grayish black bial tape for the embellishment. The second one I had a light blue color on top, blue stars on the second one, and a wavy ish dark blue waves. Honestly, it isn't my style. For the last one, I got a black and pink CHEETAH print fabric, that I think was really cute. With blue ribbon for the wrapped part.
Lastly, I got a denim fabric with silver metal looking things on it, and a small red checkered fabric. I am using them for my surprise to my friend. I am making something VERY special. I also got a pale golden zipper. ALL for my friend. (The stuff in the paragraph)
I was thinking about making the present for my friend, and spent most of my time doing that. I did a really awesome job, I think, and well, I wish I could include what I did, but it's secret. I did do the inner layer of the ****** ***** and the outer layer. I didn't finish it, I need to add a lot of more parts to it, and I was going to do that tomorrow. Besides awesome progress, I got the entire table, (SOMETHING THAT ISN'T EXACTLY MINE) messy with thread, loose scraps of fabrics, and so on.
The day was nice. While I was having fun making the project, I forgot about the fact that I had PIANO class that day. Skipping the class was awesome, but then my parents got mad. I should have been more responsible, but I had fun. I was really glad about skipping piano, but I need to make it up tomorrow. I actually feel neutral about it, not happy, only a tiny bit. ( I am contradicting myself right?) but really, I don't know if I felt super duper good about it. The rest of my day was okay, and again, I was told to sleep before one, and it took me sometime to sleep. I did eventually though.
